The Zeta Reticuli Star System

According to many who study UFO phenomena, Zeta Reticuli is home to an alien civilization known as the "Greys". Greys are described in 75% of reported abductions in the United States, 25% in Europe (Europe tends to be a hotspot for "Nordic" aliens, a group of tall, benevolent humanoids. They are believed to be from the Pleiades system and aim to help the human race.) The Greys have unknown, possibly sinister ambitions. Greys likely view humans as lesser than themselves, in the way we view animals. They are responsible for abduction stories such as kidnapping, experimentation and implantation.

Betty and Barney Hill were abducted in 1964, probably the most famous abduction story in history. Betty, under hypnosis, drew a star map she claimed the aliens showed her. It was from the perspective of their home star. It showed surrounding stars, including our sun. Schoolteacher and astronomer Marjorie Fish created a map and believed the best match from the perspective Betty Hill drew was the Zeta Reticuli star system.

The stars, designated ζ1 Reticuli and ζ2 Reticuli, are both yellow dwarf (main sequence) stars remarkably similar to our Sun. No close-in giant planets have been detected around either of the components, making Earth-like terrestrial planets possible. However, the stars are only 60% as enriched with metals as the Sun.
